NAC12s Board Identification Question

My venerable NAC12s has three pairs of boards in, which I assume are as follows:
  1. NA111, ISS2 - Phono Boards?
  2. NA114, ISS3 - Tape Buffer Boards?
  3. NA112, ISS3 - Gain Boards?
Since I only intend to use it with line sources the first two sets are not needed, but if I extract the buffer boards, do I have to jump a couple of pins to use the tape input? If so which ones, any ideas?

I'm also assuming that the gain boards will benefit form the same Acoustica upgrades as a pair or 321s? Any opinion here?

Many thanks.

Must be an early NAC 12 then, as both my NAC 12's are full of 3xx series boards. Is yours one with four DIN sockets, or three DINS and one pair of phonos?

Cheers

Adrian

It is an early one - 3, 5 pin DIN inputs and 1, 4 pin Power/Output DIN.

Only 6 bords -not the usual 7, and the older bifurcated pins.

It sounds sweet though, I have modded the 111s a la Acoustica and pulled the two other sets bridging the input/output pins with great results. The 111s had almost exactly the same components as the 321/3 boards - only one resistor (R10 on the 321) being different.

I'm now looking for a way to dual rail it so that each channel is powered separately from a DR SNAPS
