Music documentaries on Netflix, Prime etc.

There's some good stuff on Sky Arts which can still be watched on catch-up.

I watched "If I Leave Here Tomorrow: A Film About Lynyrd Skynyrd" several months back, very enjoyable

As said earlier the Rush documentary Beyond the lighted stage is a enjoyable watch.
The Jaco documentary was very good as well very moving watch. The BBC iplayer has the drum, guitar and bass documentaries well worth a watch. If you have sky arts watch The art of drumming. I loved the first few episodes.
If you like assholes the Metallica some kind of monster is fairly amusing.
I almost forgot about the Anvil documentary it is very touching and incredibly funny. It's like a real spinal tap.

I don't much care for Rush, but that was a great film, as was the ZZ Top doc on Netflix. Both directed by Sam Dunne, of 'Headbangers Journey' fame. He obviously has some talent as a film maker.

Searching for Sugar Ray is great.

as is The Dirt biopic, if you like excess.

there is a great Stooges doc , whose name escapes me on one of the two.

classic albums on a Prime has loads of stuff.

If it ain’t stiff, it ain’t worth a fk is tolerable.

“Echo in the Canyon” on Netflix. About the hippy-era musicians who inhabited Laurel Canyon in the 60s, presented by Bob Dylan's boy. Bit self-indulgent in parts, but some great music, and interviews with the likes of Bill Crosby. Funny they never mentioned Joni Mitchell though…
