Moving abroad - sell?

oldius

Manchester City, dogs, family and food.
I am moving to teach in Bucharest, aiming to begin our long-held dream of travelling and working in whichever country we choose.

What would you do with all your gear?

Well if you intend to keep travelling it seems a waste of money to keep stuff in storage. Moving a hi-fi between countries sounds like a real PITA.

Yes, it would be difficult. I will be back at Christmas but then off again.

Get one of these for the car..

Will you still have a property in the UK and will it be lived in?

Do you need to release any equity?

Can it be stored safely, do you have original boxes?

Maybe wait until after your return at Christmas when things might be clearer.

Best of luck in your new adventure.

following on the from the previous post. And what if you decide that traveling is a bore and not what it is made out to be?

You're keeping the houe so there is no urgency. Do you have a (trans)portable system that you can use over there? Compact speakers, or phones of you like them, a small amp and a computer just might be enough. When you come back you might question whether the piles of boxes are essential.
