I came across this thread on a Spanish forum called Audioplanet. It refers to the sale, presumably by his heirs,of the collection of rubbish amassed over the years by perhaps the most famous eye specialist in pre-democracy Spain called Dr. Barraquer whose clinic was in Barcelona. He would seem to have done very well for himself

By the way, I’ve just finished reading the thread and the proceeds from the sale and also of his Mercedes 540, given to him by King Farouk of Egypt and of which there were only three ever made, go towards continuing the work of his foundation which sends opthalmology teams to underdeveloped countries to carry out free cataract ops and similar.

Fab kit. I see an Cello Audio Palette there, a lovely old JBL Paragon set up, Enough Audio Research and Wilson Audio to equip us all and a dramatic pair of D'agostino Relentless Monoblocs. Lucky man. Hope he enjoyed it all .
