All top stuff and its been on constant rotation all week.

Listening to the Billy Preston, The Quik, Jimmy McGriff and Phil UPchurch Combo tracks (all top groovin Hammond B3-fests) made me drag out some Jimmy Smith and Booker T stuff and it got me thinking. I've always been a fan of that soul/funk Hammond sound but never really explored it and was wondering what albums some of you guys might recommend.

i'm in the same boat as you - a great free CD (in fact I think i'm getting addicted to music mag freebies!) really enjoyed it. I've got one Jimmy smith LP - Any number Can Win which is great but other than that im a Hammond virgin!
