Metal

Just thought I'd throw a link in.

Came across these yesterday - Bound In Fear. There's a definite hint of the kind of spin kick mosh pit, Deathcore-ish stuff that I'm not that keen on. But they also seem to go through that and out the other side into something reminiscent of Godflesh, which I'm quite enjoying.

Looks like a new album is probably coming out soon.

I have been enjoying Oxygen Destroyer's latest this week and funnily enough industrial band SKYND. Its not often something pops up and grabs my attention these days in the industrial genre but these guys really hit the spot. At first I thought yuk but the more I listened it just clicked and this is a fresh and enlightening progression, interesting and controversial subject matter as well.

If this kicks you hard in the doodahs then I highly recommend checking out their back catalogue.

@Blackmetalboon
I am really enjoying the Pusca, it reminds me of a band that I can't put my finger on. Checking out their other releases, good find.

I know what you mean. It has a Chelsea Wolfe/Myrkur/DarkHer vibe to it but it does sound like another band I know!

I see you just picked up Merzuul - Gallipoli, I’m smitten with this at the moment and was going to recommend this to you as I know you’re a fan of Noctiulm.

Three awesome albums on the playlist last week on AHDM

Italian black with horn accompaniment (@Blackmetalboon, I think you'll like this one!)

https://vortexofend.bandcamp.com/album/abhorrent-fervor
French Black from Osmose Productions

And finally a brilliant album from Abstracter on Sentient Ruin.

Next up this week is Sulphurous which was released on Dark Descent last weekend.

Just read a great review of the Abstracter on BMD:

The following is a transcript of a recording we recieved in communication from Dex some time after sending him Abominion, the devastatingly heavy fourth full-length album from US black doom entity ABSTRACTER, for review.

We have not been able to contact him since, nor has he been seen.

Please note that this transcript has not been edited or altered in any way.

Abominion is available now via Sentient Ruin Laboratories. Listen at your own risk.

I'd better give this Abstracter a listen then :)

I don't think I mentioned it but Carcass' Torn Arteries is bloody good isn't it.

Not enough hours to listen to new releases, I don't know if C19 has anything to do with it but this week the list is starting to grow out of control.

Last week Ophis (DD/FD) released their long awaited album and it's epic death doom, I think it's their best.

This was followed by 1914 (BDM) but this was knocked out of rotation by Sunless (AGM), another long awaited album and this one is truly awesome.

On rotation this morning is Mortiferum (DM), I have been looking forward one.

Coming up next week Abysmal Grief, Adliga, Universal Disorder, Etxegiña, Tausendstern and electronic formats from Monomorte and Momy Furtuna. Waiting for Vukari to be released on streaming platforms but no sign as yet.

Work/life has been hectic recently so only just catching up on things!

I picked up a couple of these recommendations, not had time to have a proper listen yet though but hopefully this weekend I’ll get a chance to catch up.
