Metal

@egodissolve the album cover looks familiar, not sure if I’ve heard it. I’ll check it out later.

I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed at what I’m currently listening to, Ravel’s Bolero, while I’m mopping the floors!

Anyone within reaching distance of Nambucca N7 6LB has the opportunity to see Undergang, Deiquisitor and Cryptworm live in the flesh courtesy of Me Saco Un Ojo on the 3rd August.
3 great bands and a great label.

Me and my weakness for dissonance. I ignored the Abyssal when it was released on Profound Lore back in June then I played 1. Recollection: Awakening / Metamorphosis and realised my mistake instantly. This particular track is ingenious, the guitars reach out like trumpets rising from the depths that signal the coming of chaos and desolation. Its a remarkable work that is reminiscent of Dodecohedron, Mitochondrion and Deathspell Omega.

Just noticed a new LP by death metal band Ossuarium, I picked up their impressive demo from 2017, good to see and hear them again and sounding top drawer on first impression. It's on my wishlist for purchase next after I check out the latest Hypnotic Dirge release by Sertraline.

Also lined up for purchase this week is the Scythe Lore on Iron Bonehead; I am liking this DM band (they describe themselves as dark death) from Germany.

@egodissolve I’ve not listened to Wretched Fate yet, possibly will later today.

I had Sertraline already in my Wishlist when I noticed you had posted about it last night, NYP so what’s not to like! I wasn’t that sure about Yellow Eyes at first, so played a few more tracks this morning before buying it.

Really need to stop buying and start listening!!!

The new Tomb Mold is awesome, really shines with repeated listens, my vinyl hasn't turned up as apparently 20 Buckspin have been overwhelmed with orders, but my Bandcamp code came through on release day. Top drawer!

Been listening a lot to Slidhr as well a lot this past week after seeing it posted, really superbly executed black metal, brilliant stuff

I buy as I listen these days BMB, as per usual bloody bandcamp is to blame, whoever invented BC must be on the rich list by now, probably bought a mansion with the money I have spent!
