Mark Grant Cables.

Cables are like religion, best not discussed in public as it always ends in a war :D

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they say :D

Alan

I recently bought a Mark Grant interconnect and have to report that it without doubt excellent vfm. It has made me think twicw about buying overpriced exotic cables. After a direct comparison between a silly priced Kimber cable and a recently acquired £75 Mark Grant cable and the latter simply allowed music to eminate from the speakers whilst the Kimber over-egged the pudding. :D

It will end very badly.

I vote we ban him now.

Okey dokey...I will put it another way....YOU BAS*ARD!!!!!!

You've gone and set them off now and there will be absolutely no stopping them until someone starts another thread and they go there!

;)

Quick! Someone set up a distraction poll!

Mark Grant stuff destroys one of the consumer crusaders' arguments; the one about fleecing gullible fools. Ok, folks like me may be gullible, may be foolish but we aren't being fleeced.

.

It`s not often that I agree with Steven but in this case, as someone with some experience of making up small quantities of high quality cables (mostly not audio) I don`t see the Mark Grant cables as greatly overpriced given the cost of decent cable and connectors, low quantities, cost of stockholding, special packaging etc and compared to various other "premium" cables.
This is not to say that a cheap cable may not work just as well, simply that if you choose to buy a specialist product made in small quantities you should expect to pay more, whether it is worth it is your choice.

It will more likely be the likes of Mark Grant and RFC who put the big-ticket charlatan cable manufacturers out of business than the consumer crusaders.

Paul's another one of the good guys who doesn't take the piss on pricing.

Agreed; his Venus cable has made a real difference in my system. I've bought boxes of electronics that have made less of a difference. A phenomenal cable, in my view.

I have a pair of BJC now maybe I should replace them with a pair of Grants. How do they work with a TT or a Riaa? :)

I went off expensive cables when the rabbit chewed through them. She made sure to chew through the most expensive one first. She is available for a bake-off.

MG cables are VFM, so are Fidelity Reference which use Furutech. Both will see you all right. I have some of Northwest Analogue interconnects which are also mighty fine.
On the other hand there's always Crystal Cable Absolute Dream which is around £10,000 per metre pair which is a bit OTT I reckon.
