Lumix PHOTOfunSTUDIO problems...

I hope there are some experienced folks out there that can help with above.
I've passed my Lumix DMC-FZ150 to my son to make some content of both stills and video, he finds the camera superior to his phone...shock-horror!

Anyway, it transpires that to transfer videos (AVCHD format) for viewing on a PC we need to use Panasonic's programme Photofunstudio 6.5 BD Edition. The Pan. site declares this software as Win10 compatible. The programme declares itself up to date on opening and so is Win10.

Software is now installed but returns the following error when trying to read the SDCard from the camera, plugged into the PC card slot.

"Cannot find supported DCIM-format still pictures or AVCHD content"

I hoped maybe I could copy the video files from the card to the PC as a work around, maybe but the PC cannot see these files without the Lumix prog. (as indeed it still cannot with it) I can transfer the stills (jpg) this way.

I'm quite close to hurling the chuffing camera in the sea at this point!

Can anyone shine some light on what is going wrong?

Cheers.

OK, panic over, I worked around it. Eventually found the files, no help from Panny programme, can play back with VLC.
Have now also switched the camera to record MPEG instead AVCHD. Now shareable etc.

Panny prog. gone in bin, steaming pile of UKW.
