i don't know about standards... all i can say is that the point of this exercise was to have something that looks good, which would be out of the question with me wielding the scissors!

at any rate, since i know all of PFM is waiting with bated breath for the resolution of this most pressing matter -- i did as @Robert suggested and got a blue one from Rega.

Stick with the Linn mat and just make sure it's the right side up. There really is a difference, my wife even noticed and she hates hifi!
