Looking for streamer/dab radio speaker one box

I’m Looking for a streamer/dab radio / amp speaker one box stand alone solution for use in my kitchen

Can anyone recommend a good one ?

I was looking for the same recently, and ended up with just a smart speaker, as it seemed to be hard to get a good combination of Dab + streaming + sound quality at a reasonable price.

The Ruark R2 Mk3 was about the best VFM available. But for reasons unknow it's been dropped with no replacement. Although there are some available on Ebay.

We have had one for a while. It is fantastic. £150 - great sound. Looks good. A bargain. Real wood veneer, downward firing 5.5” bass speaker. Remote control. Spot on.

Another £50 and they do a version with a c.d. player.

Also gets my vote. Bought one in the run up to Xmas. Went for the Mk2 version which came with a free SC-C30 wireless speaker (sells for £500 on its own).
Very pleased with both units.
Have no idea if the offer is still on though.

Does the JL product stream though ?

I don’t use streaming services, so don’t know.
The unit has internet access and can access internet radio stations.

The bluetooth function works well.

If you access Spotify etc. by a smart phone you could bluetooth the audio to the John Lewis unit.

I also use the Aux input for a classic 160 gb iPod, again works very well as ‘just’ a speaker.

There is also the facility to use as a network music player.

Probably best to get a smart speaker & run from phone. Sonos are good
