London Jazz Festival

I noticed the London Jazz Festival has announced a handful of concerts for November.

I remember about this time last year looking at a listing for a September gig at Ronnie Scotts and thinking oh that should be fine - covid will have all blown over by then...

All the same I wondered if anyone was making plans to go?

Would love to hear the trio with Tyshawn Sorey but I doubt I'll make it into London at all this year.

Well, I've committed to the Bill Laurance & Untold Orchestra gig. I'd love to do more, but we'll see...

Yo La Tengo are one of my favourite bands but I'm not at all sure what they're doing in this festival line up - the promoters seem to be broadening the umbrella somewhat.

I'm quite tempted by Jamie Branch but need to feel a bit more confident about the state of play in November before booking tickets for anything.

TBH 'm more likely to travel up on spec to see what I can get into if things get better
