I will be in London this week-end (13-15) and there are many (!) options to enjoy some good live music. Unfortunately I do not know any club/local so am fully open to suggestions and comments...

I really like Vortex Jazz in Dalston. It's got a friendly feel and is largely staffed by volunteers who are just really into the music.

To be honest though I think I'd be tempted just to stump up 65 quid and go and see Sonny Rollins at the Barbican

Have fun whatever you end up doing.

Mopomoso at the Vortex (15th) and Tortoise at the RFH (22nd) for me but that probably shows how out of touch I am. I'll second Paul by saying have fun too

If so... hurry! Almost no seats already.

I will be at the Barbican the day before (friday the 13th btw) for "Jazz Voice"

Now looking for something on saturday afternoon, if it does have some blues so much better (my wife is not much into quiet/vocal jazz )
