Does anyone know if the oval bass driver as fitted to the Linn Keltik will fit in place of a Kef B-139 (or visa versa).
Late model IMF monitors used the IMF / TDL “own brand” oval driver and this is suggested as an upgrade for the earlier IMFs due to increased power handling etc however it has become nearly impossible to find. I doubt the Linn Keltik bass drivers are 10 a penny either so this is purely a hypothetical question; but could this Linn driver work in place of the B-139 in IMFs / Linn Isobariks - although possibility of finding 4 to refit to Isobariks wouldn’t be easy, and probably pretty pointless now the B-139 is being remanufactured with increased power handling; so waste of time even asking this really, I’m just curious. Works the other way I guess; could the new B-139s be used to resurrect a Keltik with blown bass driver......?
