on topic: the inner wire and outter wire that came off my old Ekos
was really crap.
The outter wire looked like some 1970 grey thin loudspeaker cable, not like todays RCA connects.
I suppose the Ittok in certain age will have sported the same stuff, so improving on that is not too difficult, my personal impression was it was compromising the sound a lot.
I saw the arm moved before and after...no comparison & so my (uneducated) guess is that both did their part in the result.
I cannot claim how much of it was due the Silver wire, but felt I made a good choice,
which to me is fine the same. (not keep on arguing about wires)
@ steve 67: Garrard 401...absolutely stunning beauty, I also heard it's good for surprises.
I'm still out for hearing one some day..
No clearance, no service necessary and a special sound, I don't doubt the reasons for your choice
I'm curious how mine will do..
New experience, even if going wrong at times and learning from it is great to me..
