Leveson 2

kendo

Prussian bot
There is talk of the second part of the Leveson Inquiry being quietly dropped. Why?

The corruption of the Conservative Party knows no bounds. Leveson was perfectly clear, it was accepted, yet both the culture secretary and Cameron are owned by Murdoch so will not implement this aspect.

Allegations here that the Culture Secretary is not implementing Leveson II because he wants to keep a story about his year-long relationship with a prostitute off the front page.

The author and journalist Peter Jukes is promising further revelations soon on the Byline website.

Murdoch has his hand up Whittingdale, Rebekkaah's back in the saddle-emboldened, they've already taken a pop at the Queen. They know Dave's going to do nothing. Business as usual at Wapping- Dave affected outrage and demanded an enquiry but he's moved on now.

Looks like we won't get Leveson 1 let alone 2 while Whittingdale's in post. Long article here on why four national newspapers spiked the story of his relationship with a prostitute:

This is the same press which is screaming blue murder because they can't print a sordid sex tale about celebrities.

That article does make him look rather like a lickspittle pile of excrement...allegedly.
Nice to know we're in the safe hands of “The culture secretary Rupert Murdoch dreamt of"

The Minister for News International. Rupert knows how to get a voice at the table- the table in the Cabinet room.

Yay, it's new Culture Secretary time! I've just been reading Twitter and this sounds like blatant corruption, i.e. the tabloids don't print his dirt, he doesn't impliment Leveson.

Oh no, surely not. The woman must never give an account of what Whittingdale asked for- there is no anti-emetic that would work. It's the kind of story that, had it been a Labour politician, it would have been all over The Sun, the DM and the Telegraph for days. I hope she sold photographs.

Indeed, it's probably nothing more than the press barons realising that their entire readership's heads would explode in a David Cronenberg 'Scanners' manner should such information ever be made public. A fair point really.

He pulls the plug on Leveson, cites reasons of having a free press then every attempt at publication of his own dirty little secret is mysteriously spiked. The Fat Controller's shown Dave up- and this isn't double standards, it's corruption in office.

Downing Street said Mr. Whittingdale had the full confidence of the Prime Minister, David Cameron
(BBC)

That means he'll wait till the weekend to fire him.

I wonder if a "skint failure" type of person might be more fit for this position in government.

BBC Newsnight said last night that several national newspapers including the People, the Sun and the Mail on Sunday investigated the story but decided not to publish anything. They said they concluded it was not in the public interest as it was about the minister’s private life.

Note hilarious use of irony.
