[WTD] Leica R Lenses For Leicaflex SL2

I just bought a Leicaflex SL2 after having one stolen nearly 30 years ago so another trip down memory lane for me and need a lens or two. I believe the old Leicaflex SL2 takes 2 cam lenses for the metering to work so will look forward to any help. I have not fixed a budget so keeping an open mind to sensible options.

Congratulations on the SL2 - many years ago I had an SL. You can also use 3 cam lenses on an SL.

Thanks for that info, I have managed to buy a 3 cam Leica R 28mm F2.8 Elmar lens and not had a chance to test it yet but looks very nice with proper series 7 filter and lens hood. I just love the spartan design of the Leicaflex SL cameras with superb engineering that just lets you concentrate on the image making process without multi modes etc.

The SL2 will work just fine with 3 cam lenses too, so don't limit yourself to just 2 cam lenses.

Thanks for the info, I did manage to find the 28mm Elmarit and there are a few 50mm Summicron's I am looking at. Unsurprisingly I got sidetracked when I saw and bought a few lovely minty Hasselblad CT lenses as they are rare in chrome with the T star coating.
