Excellent condition Leica M6 Classic 0.72 - Black.
Cost : £1700

Camera comes with original serial matching box, Leica display, Leica strap and Leica owners manual.
Camera has just been tested with film, zero light leaks.

  • Film advance is smooth, no clunking or grinding.
  • Viewfinder lever switches between frame-lines perfectly.
  • Viewfinder is clean.
  • Rewind switch engages solidly and rewind crank is smooth.
  • Shutter curtain is clean and taut, a light surface mark can be seen in the images provided. - This is a surface mark and does not hamper the camera's function.
  • Light meter and internal indication lights are working great.
  • Shutter speeds all OK
  • ISO Dial is functional and firm.
  • Hotshoe is excellent condition.
  • The body shows some signs of wear which is to be expected. A few light scratches can be seen in the images provided.
  • Leica wax seal is intact.
  • 'Leica M6' engraving on the front facing top plate has been removed.
  • Base plate in good condition with some signs of ware, firm closure to the camera body.
  • Rear body flap & film pressure plate is in excellent condition.

You might have better luck through Red Dot or The Classic Camera, who sell on 15% commission. They would probably put it at £1,800, although the market is slow at the moment because there are no Asian buyers around. I've mostly used The Classic Camera. I've taken advantage and bought an M6 TTL 0.72 boxed as new for £1,650 in April to replace an M7 I sold last year.
