Knackered Naim drive units anybody?

The sticker on the magnet in the 4th photo sums up the condition:

It's been a lot of years since I had credos but is that the original soldered wire?
 
Don't think so. All Naim speakers I've owned have the same, very inflexible black & red wiring on all drivers. It's a real PITA to correctly dress on any of the models with sprung tweeters.
 
That will definitely be off and coil former will rub against the pole piece in consequence due to the insanely tight gap Naim used. What will also be off is that you will be able to find some note or dis-chord which makes the driver "fart" appallingly. In my experience as soon as they get a crease they are done, and you often see them with circular creases where the driver has been blown "inside out" by the power amp.
