Hi All,
Its been some time since I have been on here as I have started a new hobby or marine reef keeping.
I know how much you guys and gals like a project so I thought here would be a good place to start.
So, Im looking for some guidance on how to build a led light.
Dimension wise Tank size (viewing area) is 500 width x 500 height x 300 deep ( deep being front to back)
I intend to locate the led strips in a sealed hood having dimensions 300 long x 100 wide. The hood has vents and also fans installed. This is the standard Kent bio reef led hood.
LED wise I was wanting to use something along the lines of Cree XRE mounted on a star board.
The colours Im intending to use are royal blue, cool white & (Fiji purple or and bridgelux UV)
I will get a heatsink from Birmingham Aluminium, unless you lot have better suggestions.
So my question is what else do I need ? please add links where possible.
Oh and Id like to be able to control the blue / white leds separately.
Cheers
