Hi,
Just bought a pair of Kef C25s for nostalgia more than anything else. Using them in the lounge with a Denon DM41 system which previously ran Ruark Swordsman. I had the C15s back around 1990, and saw these - mint and cheap, so went for them.
Sound good, but very little treble (despite the treble controlled turned up) - they are warm and bassy and clearly lacking a bit of treble output. Both speakers the same - the tweeters are working, just not that much output it seems. They are sited on a bookshelf closeish to a wall, but I expect a bit more. Its a KEFSP1241 tweeter, 19mm aluminium.
What could be up?
- ferrofluid dried up?
- new capacitor needed in crossover?
Any help gladly welcome and appreciated.
