[FS] KEF R3 3-way Standmount

Kef R3 Standmounts, gloss black finish, pretty much perfect condition.

Also pretty much my favourite speaker ever, and they are about 1/4 of the price of some of the ones I've had here. The only speaker I prefer to these amazing things are the Quad 2805, only when driven by my Graaf GM50B

The KEFs prefer a decent amount of solid-state power.... I had wonderful results from Quad Artera, Lyngdorf SDA 2175, NAD C268 and particularly the Denon PMA-2500 or PMA-A110.

They are slightly large standmounts, 3-way design, really need a 53-60cm stand for best results. But they produce a superb sound and have been measured at various sites as having superb measurements.

They are the only standmount speaker I've had here that could do large scale classical justice in my medium-smallish room. Also great for Rock and electronic, in fact great for any music. This speaker was comfortably better for me that the likes of Proac D2, Atc SCM19 and...confession time..... hugely preferable to my ears than the mahoosive Klipsch Cornwall IVs that I'm relieved to have moved on in the last week.

So my 2nd favourite speaker ever.... selling because I've managed to get a pair of the latest Meta version which have a just ever-so-slightly sweeter treble. Not that the treble on the non-metas was in any way deficient. I also am considering a pair of Kef Reference Ones in the longer term if these sell.

RRP was £1399, current meta version is £1900 (a huge bargain compared to its competitors), Selling this pair for £700 collected from Edinburgh. Will deliver up to 50 miles.

Reviews and info:

I have all original packaging (one big box for both speakers, can get the measurements), leaflets and the optional foam bungs which have never been used.

I’m 400 miles south in Hertfordshire. Don’t suppose you travel south?
Unlikely until much later in the year I'm afraid.

The box is 59 x 57 x 48 cm, weighs 29kg. shouldn't be too expensive to get it couriered. Just did a quick check on parcelforce.com for 48hr service and they would cost £42 including £700 insurance. Other couriers available!

Thanks, really appreciate the info. I’ll give it some thought.

Getting some interest but seems I have to make it crystal clear that shipping will be at buyers risk.... I don't mind organising it but if something bad happens it will be for buyer to chase and sort out. I'll help in any way I can... but it will be buyer's responsibility.

I will deliver in person up to 50 miles from Edinburgh, or best of all come here to get a demo of them first.
