Funny you should mention it, because Bavaria was exactly where we were!Currywurst mit pommes with a radler (shandy) - nothing finer when cycling on a hot day in Bavaria!

I used to visit an anything-as-long-as-it’s-moules-frites place on the Picardy coast. One of the choices on the menu was mussels in curry sauce. Then there the question, curry sauce over the fish, yes or no?

I wouldn't sweat the BB date. It's a pickle, eat it afterwards and it will just be past its best. Oily pickles can suffer fat rancidity, things like lime pickle are vile once the BB has long gone. Ketchup has no oil content so keeps indefinitely. I have one in my fridge that is ancient, I know it won't hurt me so I keep it out of curiosity and have a blob now and again. Maybe BB sometime in 2016. Tastes fine, and safe as houses. Pickled. salted, low water activity. They call these things preserves for a reason. My curry ketchup of choice - I still have a bottle I picked up in Germany last year (must check the best before/use by date)...

Ah yes, good old currywurst. We had it for lunch one cycling holiday, that and a beer each set us up for an afternoon's pedalling.
Blimey, that's actually true! They even make them on site!Currywurst, so popular in the VW factory that it has it's own VW part number 199 398 500 A

Maybe not *right* now. Might be a bit subdued. We used to live in Munich and still visit fairly regularly. Nothing better than cycling along the river and into the Englischer Garten to have a beet and currywurst at the outside bar by the lake there. Would love to be there now.

They also make their own ketchup (Part# 199-398-500-B). According to Jalopnik, it’s "slightly more viscous than conventional ketchups to better pair with the Volkswagen currywurst."
we had a little flour, but no flipping yeast again (promise never to mention it again).Still no flour in our Sainsbury local or Waitrose last week.
