Just got the above..

Any ideas which cables are best to connect from a squeeze box duet to DAC 64 then to NAIM NAC202 ?

Coxial or optical (SB to DAC64) ??

and then

RCA to DIN (SB to DAC64)
or
XLR to DIN
or
RCA to RCA

I've ordered some cables from Flashback cables for now to get me going (optical and XLR to DIN)

thanks

I have used Red Dawn XLRs and Siltech SQ28s as well (XLR to XLR). Both work very well. On the digital side, I am using the old stereovox xv2 bnc into the dac from a squeezebox duet.

sorry, I have no DIN experience.

Nice DAC ! Mine is currently linked via Cardas AES/EBU (XLR) to the CDT, custom-made Audioquestl RCA>BNC for the DVD and vdh First Ulimate (RCA>RCA) to the preamp. Medium term the vdh will be replaced by Kondo Vc or Vz if I get rich.

Given the SB isn't earthed you may well find toslink better but is something you just need to suck and see.

I connected my Dac64 to the 82 with canare LV61s.

For most variants of the OS you need to connect from the inverting output of the Dac 64s XLR's to get the correct polarity so a self build or custom built lead is virtually mandatory.

LV61s also makes an excellent digital IC if you want to try electrical connection.
