Interpol - El Pintor

Fame, fortune, living in New York, super-model girlfriends - yet still miserable.

And thank god for that. Yes, a possible return to form for Interpol on this album.

Production much cleaner than the submerged mix on the previous album without losing that dark, bleak feel. Business as usual then.

Stand out tracks so far - (**** the) Ancient Ways, and All The Rage Back Home, but all tracks generally pretty good standard.

Tentative thumbs-up, need more listens to confirm.

I'm liking it, although it's a bit samey possibly. Need more listens to get the subtleties. Not so keen on some of the widdly guitar bits, and there's no stand out clobber you in the face ace track, which the other albums have generally had.

Overall a thumbs up though.
