Innuos Zen Mini Mk1 - Wav

morning all

I am trying to help a friend move his music from a Naim HDX to an Zen Mini. The HDX rips in wav. Copying the wav over the network to the Zen and doing a rescan show the tracks in the Naim app for his 272. But they don’t play.

Covert the wav tracks to flac and copy to the zen and they play perfect.

Any thoughts on why the wav don’t work ?

I can't see any reason why the WAVs wouldn't play. On the other hand, the way Naim rippers handle metadata in WAVs it not generally readable by non-Naim players, and the solution to this is to convert to FLAC on the HDX before copying. Then the metadata is readable. You can then convert back to WAV on the Zen if you prefer. This doesn't explain why your WAVs won't play, though!
