It has this spooky, eerie ambience, and her vocals with the added reverb just add to the unsettling feel. It's certainly different from what many would consider 'folk music'. The moods and atmospheres actually remind me of some of Aphex Twin's ambient works.
I heard this on WXPN, and it really did sound spooky through the hi-fi system!
