My exercise listening this week has partly been the quite good BBC radio adaptation of Robert Harris’ Fatherland. It’s a re-broadcast of a late 90s version with Anton Lesser. A nice alternative to yet another run through my beloved Complete Smiley audiobooks.
Right at the end of the final episode, there’s a bit of music playing that I thought was excellent, a sort of musical wail of lament with a quite distinctive singer.
Does anyone know what it is? I’ve a feeling I’ve heard it before, so I don’t think it’s original to the programme. But some time searching on DuckDuckGo hasn’t helped much.
