Hallo

I can listen to my HTPC at work through the speakers. How can I change this?

My HTPC consisted of an old Intel DQ77KB + "Core_i5-3570T" CPU or new "Intel NUC10i5FNH", each with standard external switching power supply and a 250GB SSD. Music files comes from a NAS.
First I thought the reason was the old HTPC. Because of this I bought a new NUC. But the noise is at least the same.

When the Croft PowAmps + active X-over + Corft PreAmp + "SMSL M10" DAC run it is quiet at the speaker.
But when the HTPC (USB connected) starts, very clear noise comes from the speakers.

What could be the reason for that and how can I change this?

The "SMSL M10" DAC offers the possibility to mute the standard audio outputs when selecting the XLR headphone output.
If the above mentioned amplifier chain is still on, you can clearly hear the HTPC coming out of the speakers (crackling, whistling, rumbling).
In headphones (connected directly to the M10) the noise is not audible.

What could be the reason for that and how can I change this?

just for info:
After many attempts, installation and removal of parts within the chain, it turned out that the crossover is the source of interference.
