I have a pair in absolutely mint condition, consecutive serial #s 016111 and 016112.

Is the any way to pinpoint the date of manufacture?

I've got a serial number of 24077 as being 1984, so yours are very early. Do they have flat 4mm sockets on the back or binding posts? Either way they are the ones with the Scanspeak tweeter, not the Hiquphone. Many folk think the early ones are the best.

Oh, and try not to mention their bottom end. They can be a little sensitive about not having much.......
