McDonnell handed the press and TV anti-Labour ammunition on a plate. It's not a headline or a question from the audience on QT if he does what all politicians do regularly and not fall into an obvious trap He is a seasoned politician and should know how these things play out. He should read this article before being interviewed again, he might learn something from May and Blair on how to be evasive without being labelled weak or hiding his views.
