1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Good equipment is good equipment. It doesn't matter how old it is.

Good Hi-Fi and enough music to play on it, will suck your pockets dry, as you smile your way to penury:)

It's the music that is important, not the hifi........

There are no right or wrong answers in hifi, but it's always safe to do the opposite of whatever Ivor Tiefenbrun says.

When you finally achieve a system that's perfect for you, 'background music' becomes an oxymoron. To get anything done you have to switch it off. :(

Passive components (i.e. cables!) can only remove signal, not add.

Improvements vs Costs is logarithmic - there comes a point at which you need to stop chasing and start listening.

Work out your own truths. Re-evaluate every now and again what priorities matters to you in pursuing this hobby: the sound; the music; tweaking; trying new kit; arriving at a good destination; searching for the best; ... . Anything that matters to you is fair game even if others don't think the same.
