Hercules Linn LP12 power supply

I believe that there is a black plastic cap thrust bearing assembly (probably wrong expression!) on the motors on early decks fitted with pre lingo PSU, on fitting Hercules I believe you should remove that. I believe the Hercules has lower drive than Valhalla, as does a lingo, which some credit as allowing a Hercules improved sound over the Valhalla. Unlike the lingo it doesn't provide extra at start up then settle down to lower drive, it is just lower drive, so a little spin by hand helps it on its way. Not in the manual, not required in my case (once you remove the thrust cap assembly), but perhaps the kindest thing to do?

Edit:. What is the Mose gold?!!? I have a Mose, did Edmund do a new version? Details appreciated ... FWIW I think the main advantage of a Hercules is 45 rpm, the Mose is the thing that improves the sound by moving nasty power stuff out of the way of the delicate signals as best you can while still having a motor in the plinth!
