Help! New soldering iron needed!

Yep an Antex. 15W, 18W and 25W all suitable for that sort of work. I generally have a 15 and a 25 on at any one time which between them will sort pretty much anything. Silicone lead version is worth the extra as not only is it heat proof it's much more flexible and makes the iron better "balanced" in the hand

If you are quick you could get one from RS for delivery tomorrow. 8:30pm cut off for orders for next day delivery.

Nick I hope you dont mind me saying that the soldering in that picture you have attached has some very poorly soldered joints
Dont know if you are trying to use lead free solder there but I would advise you just use 60/40 lead/tin.
Look at the videos I posted in the previous soldering iron thread

Alan, thank you, but I wasn't looking for a tutorial. They work and that's what matters. I'm not selling the stuff!
[Edit: churlish response. Sorry. The job in the picture was thrown together to test some of the reed switches - I'm usually a lot neater and I do use a lead mix solder]
