Happy palindrome day

Excellent! I like days like that. I remember waiting for 56 seconds past 12.34 pm on 7 August 1990. 1234567890. I saw that coming and waited some time. I also drove The Indestructible Mondeo past 120,000 miles. I was watching the odo as I got near to one of my client factories in Essex. 123,455 miles as I arrived outside the gate. I drove slowly around the industrial estate until it rolled around to 123,456. I took a photo. Yeah, I know, I'm sad.

Ha, yeah I find numbers like these very eye catching too. The other week I noticed I had £1234.06 in my current account, and was really tempted to move 50p into it from my savings account (I didn't though).
I was annoyed when I missed my odo hitting 120,000 in my Civic a month or two back, but I'll be keeping an eye on it in a couple of thousand miles time (that could be a long wait as I'm only doing about 2 miles a week at the mo').

Actually I do remember taking a pic of the odo in a Golf I had, at 111,111 miles. I posted it on facebook and someone I knew responded with a picture of their Passat at 222,222. So we're not alone.

We were mildly excited at school when the date was 6/6/66. (Had to make your own amusements in those days, Four Yorkshiremen sketch, kids today, don't know they're born, etc etc).

A man a plan a canal Panama.. Is there a longer one?
There’s the one on Kew.Rhone but it doesn’t make complete sense unless you are fully on the same wavelength as Peter Blegvad. Which is a field of approximately one.

"No, Mel Gibson is a casino's big lemon."
and my favourite, from the same list on Wiki:
"Egad, an adage!"

PS: must send some of these to our daughter, Anna.
