Hana ML compliance confusion...

Hana don't quote the dynamic compliance, but I find it listed here:

at 17 @ 10hz (not the normal japanese 100Hz figure). Well if that's true it's WEIRD. Weighing in at 9.5 grammes, this mean it wont suit any arm at all. If we do the normal 100 to 10 conversion the 17 becomes nearer 30....an impossible figure. Maybe they meant 10 at 10Hz. If that's so it's quite normal and the SME will love it...as it seems to.

Anyone know the actual figures?

If you download Hana's own spec sheet, you'll see that dynamic compliance is listed as 10 x 10(-6) cm/dyne (100Hz), with an estimated 16 x 10(-6) cm/dyne (10Hz).

From what I’ve read the multiplier method is unreliable, at best it’s a guess cos you need to take into account the VTF and also some cart like Nagaoka behave in their own way, lots of posts all over the Internet.

Using Vinyl Engine and a 12g arm I get 8Hz with a 10g cart and 16 Compliance. Looks good.
