Good pictures of Hi Fi

I'm not sure which is more disturbing; that you'd play your LP12 with the lid attached, or the strange white balance your D3X has chosen for the shot. I too would suggest eliminating the dust before shooting, especially in a dusty location such as your turntable.

here's an example of what can be achieved with modest digital equipment...

(mere) Nikon D70 with PK13 and the (vastly underrated) AF Nikkor 35-80 f4-5.6D. 1/4 sec f11, ISO200.

But is it art? ;)

removing the lid to play a record makes no difference to the sound whatsoever.

far be it from me to thread jack - yes it bloody does! if you can't hear the difference, it's time for a good fettling of both the LP12 and the rest of your system. :)

At the moment a friend borrows the 250, so I use the empty shelf for a Nait 2 CB.

And its nice with some air between the brains and brawns.

Not a very good picture at all really, just plonked on the table near the window, with a bit of white card, hand held at some silly slow speed, with the widest aperture that soft kit lens will give, still at the least the amps good;)
