Good Morning Vietnam Error

Watching Good Morning Vietnam, I am sure I see a SME 3009 SII Improved detachable headshell arm.
In 1965?

Robin Williams cues the record and I don't see the split weight.
The film was made in 1987, so finding the correct model would have been an effort

Of course, not uncommon. The movie 'The Bank Job' is set in 1971, yet you can clearly see a Revox B77 flicking by.

Tonearms were period correct; not that an American military radio station would have been running Garrard/SME, mind. Equipment was all American; with sources typically a single Gates CB77, two cart machines, and one reel-to-reel.
