Glastonbury Line Up...

I've been banging on about the BBC hijacking festivals and reducing them to mainstream TV friendly shows for years, hence the previous Shirley Bassey thing and now Tom Jones and Madness.
It's nearly all over for Glastonbury now. They killed Knebworth and it's just taken a little longer to kill Glastonbury.

The problem lies with the fact that the old people don't move on, they still think they're young in their 40s and continue to go to what are traditionally kids festivals, but have the influence to mould it to their tastes. It's like a teenagers party where the parents refuse to leave and end up taking over.
 
I've never been though MrsB and the girls have gone several times. For every Tom Jones and Status Quo, there's a dozen smaller bands on the smaller stages playing may different kinds of stuff. Something for everyone, surely?

Exactly! You've made it an event for all the family.
There was a time when you didn't want your parents with you, know what I mean?
 
The End Of The Road probably has the line-up for me that would make me think I've died and gone to heaven.
You're right though...there are so many festivals, including Brighton
