Genesis remastered any good ?

Hi,
I have all Genesis cds with Gabriel, all bought 10-15 years ago. The sound quality is not very good ...
I noticed now some Genesis cds "original recording remastered".
Does anybody compared the old and new releases ?
I love early Genesis...

The remastered CD's from a few years back are a HUGE improvement over the first CD releases. To my mind, the Japanese 'mini LP CDs' are slightly better still (they are actually exactly the same remasters as the standard jewel case editions. Even so, the consensus is that they have the edge sonically. Don't understand how, but they just do!). Beware though, there are many counterfeits of these Japan CDs out there in eBay land. Genuine originals go for silly money.

If you use vinyl I can recommend Classic Records re pressings. Excellent.
