First Dance

We were sharing stories of first dances with friends this weekend.

For those of you who:
1) are or have been married / have civil partners / had ceremonies of commitment
and
2) dance under duress or otherwise

What was your first dance to - or if you've a different story, what did you dance to on a first date?

Mrs KJB and I had a double bill when we got married , choosing one song each:

I shared a house with a couple of colleagues. Two of us had birthdays in the same week so we threw a party. Mrs seagull came.

Mrs seagull and I had known each other for a while but weren't together. I asked her for a dance but she politely declined and said she would when she recognised a song, she didn't really share my taste in music. I changed the tape(!) to the one marked "Electropop". That worked.

Over 38 years later we are still together.

I only ever dance when I have had too much and then when I'm forced to, consequently I have no idea. We did have Madness first up at our wedding...
