Find an electrical connection solution for PC

Elegant solution.

I know its too late now, but for anyone else looking/ideas I will post anyway...

When I went external WC (pair of Monsta 480 rads in push-pull) I used one of these to pass the Molex power and fan PWM externally via PCI slot plate, works very well.

And then one of these to split a single 4pin fan connector to all the fans:

If going further away I considered running a separate PSU switched on by the molex power using a 24pin-4pin relay:

Learn to solder/heatshrink and you can make the cable lengths whatever you need.

Used one of these plates to take the water from inside to outside the case:

And a pair of quick disconnects to save having to drain every time i needed to fiddle:

PC looked like this:

But this is me now... Baby on the way and all the cabling/hoses/fans seemed a bit 'at risk' so went back to it all in a big box (719)... its huge, and stuffed full!

Hottest day of the year (38c ambient where the pc is), playing Fortnite as a family we get this (5900x, 3090ti, both overclocked).

Thats a lot of pc! Links are interesting thanks, I was getting frustrated with the weak header/connectors for fans though but I am heavy handed.

The main advantage for me has been that my shed does not turn into an oven, and whilst I have turned on the air con occasionally in this heat, its cooled in the shed very quickly as its not fighting a 3080. Gaming in near silence is just a happy value add!

At this stage however its probably time to call it, my mini mid life man cave crisis is over. I should have got a Porsche, watercooling is about as expensive!

Hole on right is before the din socket went in.

Very nice! :) Its a nice way to spend many hours and I really enjoy the building of silly over the top gaming pcs!

Come the winter you will want to hook the radiators back up inside the shed to provide a bit of heating... ;)
