Chance Martin, sometime compadre of Johnny Cash, spent 5 years of the late 70's recording an album. He only pressed 1000 copies and held on to almost all of them. It's finally receiving a wider release on 16 July on Paradise of Batchelors and is being streamed on the Spin website at the moment here.
It sounds like some crazy melding of Funkadelic, Spirit and Southern rock, is jolly fine indeed and pretty far out.
