Exposure farlowe cd player

Hi, I just brought an original farlowe exposure cd player, sometimes it reads disks but most of the time it doesn't even attempt to spin the disk, would replacing the Phillips CDM 12.1 mech fix this problem ? And does anyone know anywhere that sells replacement displays?

So it doesn’t read discs and the display is faulty? Maybe a PSU problem? Have you checked?

The display is great but I know these cd players are known for fading displays, just trying to source a replacement as a spare
