I see Chick Chalmers is mentioned amongst the photographers shown - he taught me printing at Napier, A lovely man lost far too early to cancer.

I do not know if this show is worth visiting but it sounds as if it could be quite impressive. The Centre for Creative Photography in Tucson sent me details of a visit they are organising.

I did a show with Will a few years back. He's an excellent young man, and a very decent photographer. He ran some b&w darkroom workshops for the community darkroom I used to run, and he was impressively focused. Glad to see he's doing well.

Vanessa Winship is my favourite living photographer, I think. Her book, She Dances on Jackson, is a stone cold classic.

Hi Vuk, hope you are well. Been working on a project for the last two years which I need to finish this year. When I've edited and printed it I'll put it online (moved house in April and won't have my darkroom built until the autumn)

david.

congrats on making the list. what will you be featuring?

btw -- the photo they chose for that poster is rather unpleasant; a rather odd way to promote or is it hipster irony?

@vuk I just have one image in the main display (one you didn't appreciate as it was a 9 shot merge!!), I'm also running a workshop on the Saturday night ("Dusk into Night"), I'll also be attending two Street Photography workshops, talks from Mark Littlejohn and Sean Tucker, and drinking plenty of beer!!!

Full details of whats are on are here (opens in Microsoft Sway), just scroll down, there is plenty of info https://sway.office.com/rqI5T5PHBEIK0nMK?ref=Link&loc=play

For those in the UK, this is a very cost effective exhibition (£5 gets you everywhere) and all the talks/workshops are very reasonably priced (Free/£10/£20), and hotels are cheap in Hull

@Mr Perceptive - congrats on getting an image into the main display! Really happy for you :)

I'd love to come along to this but have used up all my brownie points to be allowed to go for a few days to The Lakes with a friend of mine in late Oct.

I'm sure it will be a great event.
