Elekit 8600SVK - Hello and advice

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd say hello and query whether anyone had any experience with the Elekit 8600SVK? I've just built one and am stunned at how good this thing sounds out of the box.

I'm totally new to the Class A SET scene so thought i'd canvass some opinions on tube recommendations and upgrade path.

Rocking Gold Lions across the board although I have just stuck in a NOS Brimar 12AX7 (friend recommended it off eBay) and this thing sound brilliant, more detail, texture and space but just as much bass as the GL.

Any thoughts/advice most welcome.

Well, as no-one else has chimed in.....
When I was deciding between the 8600SVK and the World Designs KT88XL, it was pointed out on here that the latter was probably more suitable for my particular needs, so I can't provide any feedback on your option. But my impression was that you can spend a small fortune on tube rolling 300Bs. There's a section devoted to valve amps on the DIYaudio forum, and the store sells Elekit amps in the US, so I'd search there.
