ECL83 Valve Alternatives

This follows on from my earlier queries regarding Valve pre-amps and Russian Valves.

Are there any alternatives to ECL83 Valves? I have some Mullards and Amperex are there any others, especially Russian equivalents please?

There are no obvious alternatives either that I know of or on a quick google of it. What is it for exactly?

No unfortunately I did a fair bit of googling with no success.

What's the reason for looking for a Russian equivalent?

As far as I know there is no direct plug in equivalent - 6n1/6n2/6n3 are very close in electrical terms to the 12AT7/12AU7/12AX7 family, but the pinout is different.
