Early Dynavector Pre Amps

Unfortunately, the current offering is a tad out of my price bracket. Anyone care to comment on the previous models L100/L200 and what they used as a power amp beyond a Dynavector?

Also, can any of these be retro fitted with an internal stage?

Appreciate your feedback.

L100 is a good non remote preamp, very neutral and quite matter of fact. There was a matching P100 phono-stage that is also a good performer.
L200 was less money and designed to be used with the HX75 power amp. Early versions were non-remote and there was an on-board phono-stage option the p50. The later remote pres sounded better. The p75 out performed the p50 cards and exceeded the P300 in some aspects but not all to my ears.
I mainly used them with DV powers but there is no reason they wouldn't work fine with other makes.

There is a new L200 in the pipeline, a prototype is in the UK (along with the HX100 power) and word has it that it sounds great - no idea what it will cost - phono will need a p75.

cheers
Jason

Many thanks Jason. The new L200 sounds very interesting, especially if it has some of the L300 magic.

Regards

Richard
