diy digital cable

Hi all, Does it matter what type/quality of cable I use? The one I'm using to stream between my computer with HiFace 2 and DAC XP+ is made from plain 75 ohm coax. I need to make my own because I need a right angle bnc on one end and rca on the other. I've just bought Chord Clearway leads for preamp to power amps (cant hear much difference) and have another Chord digital coax in the post for CD to preamp to replace the optical one. Sorry if this subject has been done to death already but I don't have much technical know how yet.

Just use a good-quality 75ohm coaxial cable - how much do you want? I've the tail end of a reel of Belden RG-6, ideal for purpose (6mm outer dai) and will happily give you say 3 metres to play with if you just donate the equiv of postage to pfm. Just drop me a pm with a postal address if that appeals.
