Ditching Sky TV

I’ve just binned Sky Q off. Contract ended and the offer was derisory. So…on the WAF front, can I install a Freesat box and just plug in to the dish? Also, who can recommend what for the odd legal footie game? I have TNT sport so it’s Sky games I need occasionally.

I am thinking of leaving sky and getting a free sat box instead. Will this work with my Sky Q satellite dish? I can't seem to get a straight answer from the people I have spoken to about it today.

Well, I did the deed. Sky went off today. The latest 4k Freesat box works fine on the Q LNB and was purchased for 70 quid on Gumtree. Solves the aerial issue alongside record/pause. Poor HD selection. It’ll be streaming all the way now I guess.
